It is time for me to look into my crystal ball and tell you all the fantasy baseball things you are dying to know. Let’s do it again. Feel free to add your names for these categories or make up new ones in the comments section at the end of the article. I look into my crystal ball, and this is what I see…

A.L. ROY – Michael Brantley – Will win the job, hit for average, steal bases.

N.L. ROY – Jason Heyward – Should be starting from the beginning of the season.

A.L. Cy Young – Zach Greinke (second place – Felix Hernandez) That’s right, folks. He is for real.

N.L. Cy Young – Tim Lincecum (second place – Dan Haren) Haren finally puts it together in the second half, but The Freak is just too good.

A.L. Fantasy MVP – Ian Kinsler – I am a believer that he can get that batting average.

A.L. Hitter Breakout – Adam Jones – If he can keep that left foot healthy, he should thrive.

BABIP. I was looking online everywhere for this list. I couldn’t find it. So I did the next best thing, I created the spreadsheet, so you don’t have to. This can be a useful statistic for fantasy baseball GMs. The following article does not contain any analysis of the numbers. I am posting it so that you, the fantasy baseball addict, can use it as a resource. In the spreadsheet, I am giving you all of the stats used to calculate BABIP: (H-HR)/(AB-HR-K). I also give you the player’s batting average from 2009, and even subtract that batting average from his BABIP to give you the net difference. I am sure that I will refer to this list on many occasions, since the stat is worth tracking. Click on the link to take you to a full list of 2009 BABIP. Enjoy. 2009 MLB BABIP Complete Listing

Welcome to the launch of Fantasy Baseball Addiction! If you are anything like me, it is never to early to be thinking about your strategy for the 2010 fantasy baseball season. With any luck, you have a solid list of keepers that you can try and upgrade throughout the off-season. For those of you out there that do not belong to a keeper-league, I advise you to find one. It adds a great deal of fun and a whole new level of strategic thinking.

This site will try and help the fantasy baseball fan (both geeks and newbies) with various different types of information. Certainly, we will provide news and the latest updates on players. We will delve into fantasy baseball theory, and the right way to set your strategy for your specific circumstances. There will be cheat-sheets, rankings, and various other forms of draft/auction prep. Waiver wire gems will be broken down, rookies tracked, and match-ups evaluated.

We also invite our readers to participate in this site as much as they would like. Comments and questions are encouraged, as is lively debate. Feel free to email any of the authors with questions regarding your team, and if we can help, we certainly will.

So get ready to feed your fantasy baseball addiction at a time when your competitors are still more worried about their running backs and kickers.
