The least secure job in Major League Baseball is closer.  I will put out this cheatsheet so you can have something to work off of during your draft, however I highly recommend that you take the time to visit the CLOSER REPORT so you have the details needed to make the right choice for your team.

  1. Jonathan Broxton – LAD :  Just sick.
  2. Jonathan Papelbon – BOS
  3. Joakim Soria – KC
  4. Mariano Rivera – NYY :  Less value in keeper leagues.
  5. Brian Wilson – SF : Finally broke the ratio barrier.
  6. Jose Valverde – DET :  Nice new ballpark.
  7. Huston Street – COL :  Shoulder soreness, track this spring
  8. Heath Bell – SD :  Possible trade concerns me.
  9. Trevor Hoffman – MIL :  Less value in keper leagues, but still good.
  10. Francisco Rodriguez – NYM :  I think he’s overrated.
  11. Rafael Soriano – TB :  One of two closers with 100+K in 2009.
  12. Andrew Bailey – OAK :  Awesome, but talent behind him in pen if he struggles.
  13. Frank Francisco – TEX
  14. David Aardsma – SEA
  15. Carlos Marmol – CHC :  Terrible BB/9 rate in 2009.
  16. Francisco Cordero – CIN :  Don’t like him, never have.
  17. Bobby Jenks – CWS :  Lost weight, stopped drinking, could make surge.
  18. Chad Qualls – ARI :  Lots of people love him, not so much me, but people.
  19. Ryan Franklin – STL :  2009 way above career averages.
  20. Mike Gonzalez – BAL :  Looks to me like a head case.
  21. Matt Capps – WAS :  Could be nice rebound.
  22. Brian Fuentes – LAA : Awful, will be in committee within 2 months.
  23. Brad Lidge – PHI :  High risk/reward.
  24. Kerry Wood – CLE
  25. Billy Wagner – ATL :  Could be comeback player of the year.
  26. Kevin Gregg – TOR ↑ Current favorite for saves in TOR.
  27. Brandon Lyon – HOU :  It’s between him and Lindstrom.
  28. Leo Nunez – FLA
  29. Octavio Dotel – PIT :  Supposedly has the job to lose.
  30. Matt Guerrier – MIN :  ↑ Nathan’s injury opens the door.
  31. Scott Downs – TOR :  He’s better than Gregg.
  32. Fernando Rodney – LAA
  33. C.J. Wilson – TEX
  34. Ryan Madson – PHI
  35. Brian Brueny – WAS :  Wants a chance to compete for the job.
